2 Ancient Northern Chilean Bowls, both very unique – 44 viewsThe left one is very heavy and crudely made with the fingerprint indentations from the potter. It is very cool to hold the bowl with each of your 5 digits neatly fitting the makers. The one on the right is very delicate, painted red and was cracked and repaired. UlsterScotNutt

Cracked bowl with repairs – 44 viewsThis poor Indian needed to repair his cracked bowl. He drilled the opposing side holes and tied the cracked piece back in place. You can clearly see the holes strategically placed.UlsterScotNutt

Bowls from Atacama Desert, Northern Chile – 43 viewsFlip side of bowls. One on left is very heavy and crudely made and still has the fingerprint indentations of the potter. The one on the right is painted red, much more delicate, with base rim and repairs made by the owner. One dates to 1500 the other I am not sure yet.UlsterScotNutt

Cunzas Turquise Necklace, Atacama Desert, Northern Chile – 50 viewsThis was removed from a mummy by my father in 1942 or so. The original thread disintegrated the moment he touched it and all the pieces fell to the desert floor. He picked up all of them and restrung it. UlsterScotNutt
