Impressing a queen
This is a concept painting of an Impression, when the young teens Impress their Dragon. This Impression is for life and allows the Dragon and Rider to forge a mental link. This particular picture, I believe, shows Lessa Impressing Ramoth, the largest gold Dragon ever on Pern.
