The Keith House at Graeme Park, Horsham
|
The Keith House at Graeme Park is a National Historic Landmark because of its well preserved Georgian architecture, which is considered to be one of the finest examples, and because of the significance of the 18th century owners. The home was built for Sir William Keith, the 14th governor of Pennsylvania, and later purchased by his son-in-law, Dr. Thomas Graeme, who was responsible for the interior. After Graeme's death, the estate was inherited by his daughter, the writer Elizabeth Graeme Fergusson.
