My great grandfather William Barr was born in Clogher, Tyrone County, Ireland as was his father of the same name. My grandfather Edgar Barr - born in Ontario, Canada - said that the family name had been changed from Dunbar to Barr at some point. Originally the family had immigrated from Scotland. I can't claim to know anything for sure, but I trust it is so.
The album contains a brief genealogy, a coat of arms, and the story of the Dunbar name - which I originally downloaded from this site. Thank you! I will upload the Dunbar Plaid once I find it on my hard drive. :)
